CMS Family,
Central Middle School will be hosting parent/teacher conferences on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 and Thursday, October 6, 2022 between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Conferences will be scheduled in 15 minute intervals. This gives everyone an opportunity to meet with their teacher. To reserve your time slot, please contact your student's counselor as soon as possible. We look forward to visiting with you.
CMS Family: CMS parents and students are invited to attend tonight's football game between Lawton and MacArthur. Because this is an LPS sponsored event, there are a few guidelines that students are expected to observe.
1. Wear their school issued ID at all times and be accompanied by an adult.
2. Remain seated unless visiting the restroom or concession area to make a purchase.
3. CMS students will sit on LHS's side of the field (North).
4. Leave Cameron's facility at the conclusion of the game.

Tomorrow will be our first PTO popcorn and pickle day! Both are $1 each and can be bought during lunch in the cafeteria.

eSports is holding tryouts for (RocketLeague on this Thursday) and (Fortnite on this Friday) in the eSports computer lab (N22) from 3-4:45pm, and more game tryouts next week! Students need to have their own transportation at pick-up around 4:50.
RocketLeague = This Thursday, September 1st from 3-5pm
Fortnite = This Friday, September 2nd from 3-5pm
Minecraft:Survival Games = Next Tuesday, September 6th from 3-5pm
Mario Kart 8 = Next Wednesday, September 7th from 3-5pm

CMS Family: We need your help keeping our students safe during morning drop-off and afternoon-pick up. Please observe the map that is provided. It describes traffic flow, student flow, and entry points. We will have members of the LPS police department and CMS faculty located outside to facilitate order. Please contact CMS if you have questions.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the site for the Central Middle School orientations has been
relocated to the Central Middle School cafeteria. In addition to the orientation, the CMS staff will provide a last opportunity for your student to pick up their class schedule for this upcoming year. Early pick up of your student’s schedule will ensure a smoother first day of school experience for the entire CMS family. Thank you for your efforts in these matters.
Missed check-in last week? No worries! We are available for student check-in in the CMS office from 7:30 to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday this week and next. Students may pick up their schedules and locker assignments, as well as locate their classrooms. Don't forget, the first day of school is August 11th!
Congratulations goes out to CMS student, Bobby Rosales! Bobby Rosales (8th CMS) made 1st place of 21 players in the Middle School Summer Sweetspot Tournament on Saturday, July 30! The pay-what-you-can ice cream fundraiser was for all 10-18 year old students! The LRC's main event at the tournament was Super Smash Bros with side arcade games like GranBlue Fantasy Versus, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, and more!
Bobby "Lemonade" placed 1st against 4 players with 5 matchs (3 to 5 rounds each). The last set of finals were close! 2nd place MMS "Komodo" was down 0-2 and he rose 2-2, then Bobby "Lemonade" pulled his 3rd win with a DonkeyKong vs DonkeyKong matchup! Bobby won $20 in Sonic cards for 1st!
We had 133 students at enrollment on Thursday and Friday, who signed up and want to tryout for a competitive eSports team with one of our video games! CMS is currently offering teams with Super Smash Bros, RocketLeague, Minecraft:Survival Hunger Games, Fortnite, and Halo!
We're excited to see all the talented Cougar gamers during August tryouts and in our eSports elective classes!
Due to the construction going on at CMS all orientations (6th, 7th, & 8th) will be held at LHS.
